One of Ipswich’s most well known buildings is set to be transformed into upmarket offices.
The Maltings, in Princes Street, will be converted by Pertwee Estates, the Colchester based business park developer run by brothers Mark and Julian Pertwee, which has agreed to purchase the historic buildings – subject to planning permission being granted – from current owner Ipswich Borough Council.
The former entertainment venue, previously operated as The Malthouse, and before that as Kartouche and Hollywood nightclubs, has been standing empty for just over 10 years.
